2004Quotations: "I always wanted to be an author. It took a long time but, in 1988 – and after a lot of other jobs – my first novel for children was published. I am now a full-time author, writing books and short stories for children of all ages, as well as a novel for adults and several readers for foreign learners of English. Writing has always been a compulsion for me, and I count myself so very lucky that I can earn a living from what I enjoy doing best in the world."
Paul Stewart married Julie Stewart. The marriage produced two children.
