Career
A striker he made a League of Ireland scoring debut for Waterford United at Bray Wanderers on the 31st of October 1993. In total he scored 7 goals in 13 appearances for the Blues before moving to Newry Town. Stokes joined Shamrock Rovers in the summer of on a Bosman where in his one season he scored 3 league goals in 17 appearances.
He joined Coleraine after his spell at Rovers.
