Career
This was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World World War World War II Paul Trabandt was born on the 24 October 1913, in Reinfeld. He volunteered to join the Steamship-Vermont and was involved in the Anschluss of Austria and the occupation of the Sudetenland. He was awarded the Knight"s Cross in October 1943, when a platoon commander in the 2nd Battery, 5th Steamship Panzerjager Battalion, 5th Steamship Panzer Division Wiking, while serving on the Eastern Front.
He survived the war and died on the 23 August 1991.
