From associate professor to professor music, chairman keyboard instruction, Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, Tennessee, since 1975; music director, 1st Baptist Church, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, since 1987. Also music director various churches, since 1972.

Member National Guild Piano Teachers, Music Teachers National Association, Tennessee Music Teachers Association (group piano chairman 1983-1985, east Tennessee representative 1988-1990), Knoxville Music Teachers Association (Teacher of the Year 1989), Pi Kappa Lambda (chapter president since 1990).
