First salaried newspaper position, Philadelphia Gazette, 1891.

Came to Chicago Exposition, 1893, as correspondent eastern papers. Editorial writer and managing editor Abendpost, Chicago, 1894-1914, then president The Abendpost Company and editor-in-chief Abendpost and Sonntagpost.
