Educated Royal Conservatory of Music, Munich. Unmarried. Soloist and teacher at Washington, 1888-1891. Member Bayreuth Wagner-Festspiel Orchestra, 1891.

Soloist New York Philharmonic Club, 1892. Solo-cellist, New York Symphony Orchestra, 1893-1898. Solo-cellist Metropolitan Opera House Orchestra, New York, since 1899.
