(This work takes up the problem of the origin of church do...)
This work takes up the problem of the origin of church dogma, especially as the problem has been represented in recent theology under the influence of historical thinking and of the more recent criticism of the very notion of dogma. After a thorough study of the rather significant development of the concept, particulary since the Reformation, lines of a meaningful usage for today's theology are indicated.
