Career
Sage is an ambassador for Down"s Syndrome Scotland and Mencap, and a patron of the Ann Craft Trust. Her performance in the 2003 British film AfterLife, brought her a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Scotland award for best first time performance and Best Actress in the Bratislava International Film Festival, 2004. A Channel 4 review said:
Debut actress Paula Sage holds her own as the feisty Roberta opposite screen veteran Lindsay Duncan, and talented younger actors like Kevin McKidd and Shirley Henderson.
If anything holds back Sage"s acting career, it will be the shortage of roles available to actors with Down"s Syndrome.
