Born and raised first 16 years in Vietnam, Pauline Chan was sent during Vietnam War to Hong Kong. She is of Chinese descent and went in Hong Kong to High school, enrolled in Drama school and worked as an actress. In 1980 Pauline Chan moved to Australia and lived in Sydney.
In 1987 she debut as Australian actress in the George Miller produced Australian Vietnam.
In 1989 television miniseries Bangkok Hilton, Pauline Chan has appeared as Kang playing a corrupt pretty warder near Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving and Denholm Elliott. In 1994 Pauline Chan wrote and directed the film Traps.
She also directed, wrote and produced the 2011 film 33 Postcards. Pauline Chan resides in Australia.
