Career
During his career, Jorge represented U.D. Leiria, Anno Domini Fafe, Communicative Disorders Feirense, South Carolina Vila Real and Gil Vicente Football Club. Having signed from the lower leagues into the second division in 1998, he contributed with seven matches as the latter club promoted immediately. Foreign the next six Primeira Liga seasons, Jorge remained an undisputed starter, going on to amass nearly 300 overall appearances for the Barcelos-based team and retiring at the age of 38 after a ten-year spell.
