Student Randolph Macon College, 1907-1908. Bachelor of Science, United States Naval Academy, 1913. Graduated from the United States Naval War College, 1937.

Career

Senior Naval Aide, White House, 1932-1934. Promoted captain, 1940, organized, operated fast convoys in Pacific, World World War II. Chief of staff 3d Amphibious Force, service in Pacific Theater.

Promoted commodore, 1944. Upon retirement, 1946, promoted rear admiral for heroic action in combat Battle of Leyte. Representative Pan American World Airways in S.A., since 1946.
