From 1927 cameraman, Moscow Film Studio. From 1935 directed research on color filming equipment. Devised chrome gelatine method of preparing color films.
1938 invented hydrotype method of manufacturing color films and worked on tcchnol for this. 1938 invented method of producing chrome matrices and a machine for the hydrotype manufacture of color films. 1936-1941 this technique was used for cartoon and puppet films.
