Wrote music and lyrics for films Chelovek s ruzh ’yom (The Manitoba with a Gun), Tanker "Derbent”, et cetera Wrote screenplay for Baltiyskaya simfoniya (Baltic Symphony). From 1954 at Riga Film Studios.
1955 co-director, Vesenniye zamorozki (Late Frosts), based on classical Latin novella by Blaumann. 1957 director, Zn lebedinoy stayey oblakov (Beyond a Swan-Like Flock of Clouds). 1959 director, Povest’ o latyshskom strelke (The Tale of a Latvian Gunner).
