1921-1928 lecturer, 1928-1945 prol, Ccntr Asian University, Tashkent. 1945-1954 at Main Botanical Gardens, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. 1949-1954 simultaneously Presidium chairman, Mold Branch, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences.
From 1954 director, Komarov Botanical Institute, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Sciences. Specialized in embryology of orchids, anatomy of mountain plants, and biology and evolution of grapevine. Author of over 80 works.
Religion
Religion obstructs scientific research and technological progress.
