1941-1946 military anatomist in Soviet Army. 1941-1966 head Department of Pathological Anatomy, then chief physician, Medical Section, 5th Soviet Clinical Hospital, Moscow. 1946-1956 chief pathological anatomist, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Minister of Health.

1949-1966 head, Laboratory of Pathological Anatomy, Institute of Labor Hygiene and Occupational Diseases, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Academy of Medical Sciences. 1958-1960 deputy chairman, Learned Medical Council, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Ministry of Health. Company-ed, pathology and morphology section, Bol'shaya meditsinskaya entsiklopediya (Large Medcial Encyclopedia) (2nd ed).

Wrote over 100 works on various aspects of pathological anatomy, including the effect of trauma on the morphology of blood, the pathological anatomy of rabies, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases, the pathology of war wounds, hematology, comparative oncology, cardiovascular pathology, et cetera
