SHMAKOV, Pavel was born in 1885.


1913 graduated Moscow University.


Set up television research laboratory in Leningrad. 1960 developed first successful stereoscopic television unit in USSR. Board member, All-Union Society for the Dissemination of Political and Science Knowledge.

Member, Leningrad City Soviet of Workers’ Deputies. 1921-1929 lecturer: Institute of National Economics, Higher Technology Institute, Moscow Institute of Power Engineering, Moscow Institute of Communications and Leningrad Institute of Communications. 1929-1930 reader in television, Moscow Institute of Communications.
