Pavel Stecha attended the Film Faculty of the Academy of Music Arts (FAMU) in Prague (now the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts) from 1967 to 1971.
In 1977 Pavel Stecha was a senior lecturer at FAMU in Prague (now the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts); he had been an assistant lecturer there in 1975.
