Career
From 1919 worked at Helmholz Eye Diseases Research Institute, Moscow. 1945-1964 head, Chair of Eye Diseases, 2nd Leningrad Medical Institute (now Health and Hygiene Medical Institute). Also chairman, Leningrad, and bd member, All-Union Sciences Social of Ophthalmologists.
Company-ed, “Ophthalmology” section, 2nd ed of “BoPshaya meditsinskaya entsiklopediya” (Large Medical Encyclopedia). Member, ed council, journal “Vestnik oftal’mologii”. Devised methods for early diagnosis of glaucoma, so-called campimetric drinking-water test.
Specialized in injuries, especially war injuries of eye. Wrote over 90 sci works.
