During World War 2 deputy commander, Soviet Air Force. Then commander, Air Force of Far Eastern Front. During operations against Japan commanded 19th Air Army.
From 1946 first deputy commander, Soviet Air Force. From 1949 Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Deputy Minister of Defense. From 1957 head, Main Civil Air Fleet Board.
From 1959 commandant, Anti-Aircraft Defense System Military Command Academy. 1952-1961 candidate member, Central Committee, Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Deputy, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Soviet of 3rd—5th convocations.
