Pavel Arkadievich Andreyevsky was born on June 29, 1849 in Kharkiv, Kharkivs'ka Oblast', Ukraine. His brother was Sergey Arkadievich Andreyevsky, a Russian poet, critic and judicial orator.

In 1866 Pavel Arkadievich graduated from the Ekaterinoslav (Dnipro) Gymnasium.
Starting from 1873 Pavel Arkadievich was an examining magistrate in Samara. In 1875 he moved to Kiev. Starting from 1877 Pavel Arkadievich was an attorney of the Moscow Court of Justice and in 1880 he became an attorney of the Kiev Court of Justice.
From 1880 to 1886 Pavel Arkadievich was a publisher and an editor of the literary and political paper "Zarya" (Dawn) in Kiev. In 1882 privately gave the publishing rights to Michail Ignatievich Kulisher which caused the closure of the newspaper after a several publications. Starting from 1886 he became a leading feuilletonist in the "Kiev's word" newspaper.
In the early 1970s Pavel Arkadievich started his literature career as a theatrical reviewer in "Samarsk (Samara) Reference Sheet".
