MOROZOV, Pavlik was born on December 2, 1918 in village Gerasimovka, Sverdlovsk Oblast. Son of a poor peasant.
Studied at village school, where he led a Pionier group.
Opposed richer peasants’ attempts to keep private land. 1930 informed on his father, chairman of a village sov, for selling forged deeds and served as witness at subsequent trial. Also informed on rich peasants who refused to meet compulsory grain delivery schedules and encouraged villagers to hide their harvest.
Proposed that a kolkhoz be established at village Gerasimovka. 1932 killed together with younger brother by a group of rich peasants. The murderers were captured and executed.
The kolkhoz at Gerasimovka, other kolkhozes, pioneer lodges, libraries and the Palace of Culture in Krasnaya Presna, Moscow, now bear his name. There are monuments to him in Moscow and Gerasimovka.
Religions convince people that the source of their misery lies in the inherent and unchangeable "sinfulness" of humanity rather than in the forms of social organization and institutions.
With the establishment of socialist regimes in Eastern Europe and Asia, capitalism lost its dominance as an economic system.
