Pedro Humberto ALLENDE SARÓN, Chilean violinist, composer;. member of jury, International Voice and Piano Competition, Vienna, 1932, 1937, 1938; member world congress Lavoro e Gioia, Rome, 1938. Member Ateneo de; member Asociación Wagneriana (Buenos Aires), Unión Ibero-Americana (Madrid), Ateneo Hispano-Americana (Buenos Aires). Composer of numerous works, including symphonies, chamber music, and music for voice and solo instruments.

Educated Conservatorio Nacional de Música, certificate of teacher of violin, 1905, of harmony and composition, 1908. Certificate of teacher of voice, University de Chile, 1920.
Career
Professor of violin in the Normal School for Women Number. 1 of Santiago, 1908; subsequently taught music in the José A. Núñez Normal School, and in the Liceos, Valentín Letelier, J. V. Lastarria, and Javiera Carrera, ail of Santiago. Professor of harmony and composition in the National Conservatory of Music since 1928.
Commissioned by the Chilean government to study the organization of musical education in Europe and South America, 1911, 1922-1923.
Chilean delegate to and vice-president of the Congress of Popular Arts of Prague, 1928. Permanent member of the International Commission of Popular Arts of the International Institute of Intellectual Company-operation of Paris.
Invited as guest of honor to give one of his symphonies at the concerts presented in the Palace of Music of the International Exposition of Barcelona, 1929. Invited by the Uruguayan government to give two concerts of his own compositions and two lectures on popular Chilean art and voice methodology, 1932.
Member of the jury in the Concours International de Chant et de Piano of Vienna, 1932.
