Works: M‘Gill Union; Macdonald Engineering Building, M‘Gill; restorations, Christchurch Cathedral; and some domestic work, all in Montreal; assessor in many architectural competitions throughout Canada. Chiefly in St. Petersburg to 1887. Studied art in Edinburgh throughout school and college career up to 1906. Articled pupil to R. S. Lorimer, Associate Royal Scottish Academy, till 1910.
Tite prizeman, 1900; moved to London, Owen Jones student, 1902. Assistant in service of London County Council, A. 1 Iessell Tiltman, Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and other architects. Professor of Architecture, M‘Gill University, Montreal, since 1903. A.R.A.I.C., architect.
