Mikhail Khozin graduated from the Frunze Military Academy, 1925.
By June 1941 Gen Lt Mikhail Semenovich Khozin headed the Frunze M.A., and the following October took command of the Leningrad Front. After convincing Stalin that he was better able than Meretskov to save Vlasov’s elite 2d Shock Army, Mikhail Semenovich was demoted after failing to do so. Ironically, Khozin replaced Meretrskov as head of the 33d Army in June 1942, holding this post until the following October. Two months later he took over the battered 20th Army from N. I. Kiryukhin. heading this briefly before disappearing from the war in Jan 1943. He died 27 Feb 1979. (Scolts.)
