Judge The United States of America Circuit Court of Appeals, 7th Circuit, 1899-1905. Presiding judge March 1905-October 23, 1911, resigned.
President John Crerar Library, Chicago, since 1901. Among his notable judicial acts are included his opinion (dissenting from the two circuit judges, but sustained by Circuit Court of Appeals) upon the application to close the World’s Columbian Exposition on Sundays.
