Foreign her work in The Godfather Participant II and Rocky, Shire has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress, respectively. Shire portrayed Connie Corleone in The Godfather and its sequels. In 1976, she portrayed Adrian Pennino, the love interest of Rocky Balboa in Rocky.
