Paul Nadar was taught photography by his father Gaspard Felix Tournachon (Nadar).
The young Paul Nadar worked with his father in the studio, doing portraits on his own as well. During Nadar's last years, Paul did his printing for him. Nadar died in 1910, his studio continued under the direction of his son. He also photographed the acclaimed first photo-interview, conceived by his father, that took place between Nadar and scientist Michel-Eugène Chevrole. For several years around 1890, Paul was the Paris agent for George Eastman.
