Career
At best, Bjedov came third in her heat at the European Championships, two years before her finest hour at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. At the end of the year, she was proclaimed as the athlete of the year in Yugoslavia. After her swimming career Bjedov turned to coaching.
Her daughter Anamarija Petričević, also a swimmer, competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics.
They both now live in Locarno, Switzerland.
