William Manning was a British merchant, politician, and Governor of the Bank of England between 1812 and 1814.
Career
He also served as its Deputy Governor. He also worked as a merchant in the West Indies, and invested in the Australian Agricultural Company, and becoming its Deputy Governor. The Manning River in New South Wales, Australia was named after him.
