Levadia
In January 2011, he was on trial at Gambrinus liga club Dynamo České Budějovice. On 4 July 2011, Teniste joined English League Two side Swindon Town at their pre-season training camp in Italy. Although the clubs had agreed on transfer fee, the player was not offered a contract as manager Paolo Di Canio felt that Teniste was not a natural left-back.
Sogndal
On 1 September 2011, Teniste joined Norwegian Tippeligaen club Sogndal on a loan deal until the end of 2011 season with an option to buy.
The move was made permanent in December, when he signed a two-year deal with the club Teniste made his debut for Estonia in a friendly match against Saudi Arabia on 9 November 2007, when he came on as a substitute in the second half.
