Career
Born in Kaunas, Lithuania, Šležas started his professional career 2006 in Tauragės Bremena-KTU, club of the Lithuanian second division. Two years later, he signed with British Columbia Lietuvos Rytas, as one of the most promising young players in Lithuania, but he rarely step on the court for the team He was loaned two years to its junior team British Columbia Perlas.
On 11 September 2011 signed a one year contract with British Columbia Juventus.
On 7 October 2011, playing in his second game of the season, suffered a very complicated ankle injury, which kept him out of the line-up for 4 months. After playing with British Columbia Prienai and British Columbia Dzūkija.
Šležas left Lithuania in 2014, when he signed with Austrian Basketball League club Fürstenfeld Panthers. On 2015 he signed with Spanish second division club Cáceres Patrimonio de la Humanidad.
Two weeks later, Šležas signed with Liga ACB club Bilbao Basket a contract until the end of the 2015-2016 season.
