He played Herbie in Dead Manitoba"s Shoes, Bill in Oranges and Sunshine, and Pete in Best Laid Plans. In 1989, he played the character Mark Casey in Coronation Street. He appeared as Mark Casey in the soap for two years.He also appears in television programmes such as.

Stuart is soon to be seen as Liam in series two of Prisoners" Wives. Wolfenden began acting at North Chadderton School.
At this time he was also an actor at Oldham Theatre Workshop. At 15, Wolfenden played Craig the paperboy in Coronation Street and also appeared in the British Broadcasting Corporation One children"s drama Jossy"s Giants.
When Wolfenden was 17 he landed a role in the British Broadcasting Corporation series My Kingdom for a Horse as Bobby Shaw.
He starred opposite Sean Bean and Sheila Hancock. In 1989, he began playing Mark Casey in Coronation Street, continuing in the role for two years until 1991. More recently he appeared in the Jimmy McGovern drama Accused.
His film career started in 1992 with a role in In the Name of the Father.
