Chilton is best known for her role as Ruth Pearce in the British Broadcasting Corporation soap opera. Doctors, which began in April 2008 and ended on 17 December 2010. She has had several stage roles most notably playing the lead in Moira Buffini"s adaption of Marianne Dreams at the Almeida Theatre.
