Shady is known for his great speed, concentration and outstanding physical fitness. Shady began his career with Alexandria"s Club Koroum with the youth team and made his depute with First team in 1997/98 season and spent successful 2 seasons before joining El Ahly. Ahly Bronze Medalist at 2006 Fédération internationale de football association Club World Cup CAF Champions League: 2001, 2005, 2006, 2008.

Shady and El-Ittihad failed to reach an agreement to renew his contract. He scored only one league goal during his stay with El-Ittihad. Ismaily On 7 June 2010, Shady announced joining Ismaily with a 2-year contract.
His former First Rate (at Lloyd's) Ahly teammate Essam El-Hadary facilitated that move.
