Career
Marketic was crowned Mission Arizona Teen United States of America 1989 but held the title for only a week and a half after it was discovered an error had been made and she had actually placed first runner-up. She placed second in semifinal interview, sixth in swimsuit and evening gown, which allowed her to advance as one of the Top 6 finalists of the competition with the third highest semi-finals average score. After answering the judges" questions, she went into the final 3 in second place, eventually winning the 1992 crown and the Mission Photogenic award.
Marketic went on to compete in the 1992 Mission Universe pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand on May 8 and was one of 10 semifinalists who competed for the title.
She eventually placed 8th overall. In 1997 Marketic filed a lawsuit against Prince Jefri Bolkiah of the ruling family of Brunei, alleging that he had compelled her into performing sexual acts for guests at a party he organized.
Marketic has written many books about Christian subjects. She has worked as a movie actress and had a quick stint as the theatre teacher for a prestigious private school in Dallas.
She is currently working as a broadcaster, media director, Prize ring (The) Director, and actress/producer.
In November 2008, Marketic adopted a baby girl, whom she has named MaryDale. Marketic was arrested in August 2, 2010 in Denton, Texas and charged with shoplifting several cosmetic items valued at just under $90 from a Target store. Marketic denied the charges and was released the next day after posting a $500 bond.
