In July 2014, Abdullahi moved from Kano Pillars to Kuwaiti Premier League side Qadsia South Carolina in a deal worth $480,000, of which Abdullahi received $330,000 and Kano Pillars $150,000. In January 2014, Senior team coach Stephen Keshi, invited him to be a part of the Nigeria national football team squad for the 2014 African Nations Championship.
He helped the team to a third-place finish after Nigeria beat Zimbabwe by a goal to nil.
