Career
Ronan is credited with the songwriting, production, lyrical, and vocal aspects of the band"s music In the years preceding "s debut album Advance and Follow, he worked for Q8 Petroleum in central London as an Information Technology Manager and was a journalist / webmaster for dark electro magazine Side-Lincolnshire. In 1988, Ronan Harris moved from Dublin, Ireland to London, England.
He began recording music as in 1990, and moved to Toronto, Canada later that year.
In 1994, Harris moved back to Europe where he soon met up with Mark Jackson, who joined as the drummer for live shows. Since 1995, has released eight albums, and still has the same two members.
Foreign live shows they are joined by two keyboard players. Harris performed vocals for the futurepop supergroup Bruderschaft on their Forever European Parliament, and appeared on American Film Institute"s 2006 Decemberunderground album, providing electronic sequences and effects for some of the songs.
Additionally, he produced the 2001 Angels and Agony album Eternity as well as remixes for a number of bands.
He now releases VNV"s records independently on his Anachron Sounds imprint. In 2006, Ronan Harris founded his new project Modcom, producing instrumental electronic music based entirely on the usage of analog sequencers and synthesizers. Harris also performs live DJ sets.
