Career
He was a second round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns in 1999, the year of their return to the NFL. In his Canadian Football League rookie season in 2002, Abdullah showed tremendous promise in his Eskimo debut (July 4 vs Ottawa) with a team-leading 5 defensive tackles and one blocked field goal. He recorded 2 defensive tackles and one sack in Week 3 (July 13 vs Toronto) before being placed on the disabled list for the remainder of the season following the discovery of a blood clot in his heart. He is most recently played for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. He has also played for the Calgary Stampeders.
On September 7, 2007, Abdullah was suspended by the Edmonton Eskimos with pay for kneeing Calgary Stampeders fullback, Gerald Commissiong in the neck.
He was released outright on September 12. Abdullah is currently defensive line coach at Dunwoody High School.
