He also received the Connie South.Maniatty award, the highest honor given to an athlete at Columbia University.
He captained the Indian Junior team to win the first ever Asian Junior title defeating Pakistan in the final. He has won 6 junior national titles and ended his junior career ranked #1 in India. He received the Skillman award from the College Squash Association to recognize his sportsmanship on and off court.
