Career
He played domestic cricket for the Odisha and represented India in Under-19 cricket, captaining the side against Pakistan in four test matches played in India. In 2006, when the committee was re-formed under Dilip Vengsarkar, Ranjib Biswal was retained for an additional term in 2006. In 2006, Biswal was entrusted with the additional responsibility of Manager with Doctorate Dongoankar for the IND tour of Wisconsin - 2006.
He is Chairman of National Cricket Academy (NCA) and President of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA).
He was the Team Manager of the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy winning, Indian Cricket Team. Later in 2013, Biswal was selected as the chairman of IPL after Rajeev Shukla step down from the post amid controversies regarding spot fixing in IPL. In April 2015 just before IPL match Rajeev Shukla again replaced Ranjib Biswal as IPL Chairman.
