Raul Julia-Levy is a Mexican film and television actor, and producer.
Background
He is the son of Puerto Rican actor Raúl Juliá. Julia-Levy was born on July 10, 1971 (see the Idaho posted on his Twitter account as proof) to Margaret Levy Baroug in Mexico City or Puerto Rico.He is from a prominent and wealthy Mexican family. A Federal Court of Law ruled in February 2016 that Raul Julia Levy is the son of the late actor.
Career
Merel Polloway, the widow of Raúl Juliá, in the past refuted Julia Levy"s paternity claims regarding the former Puerto Rican actor using strong language but at one point admitted knowing about the existence of Julia Levi as far back as 1982, even though Julia Levy has always maintained that he has no financial claims on his father"s estate. Julia-Levy appeared in Mexican and Italian productions before landing a small part as Quintana Driver in Double Take (2001) and as the bandit José in the television movie Epoch (2001).
He played Detective Marin in the independent, direct-to-video films Vengeance (2004) and Clash (2006), films for which he also received cr as associate producer.
In 2011, Julia-Levy announced that he was to write, produce and narrate a documentary titled Revelations of the Mayans: 2012 and Beyond, that would provide evidence that the Mayans had contact with extraterrestrials. Amidst the 2012 phenomenon Julia-Levy said that the world would not come to an end in 2012, "but the real shit is going to happen in the next 15 to 20 years." The film began shooting in Mexico in March 2012 and was scheduled for release before December, but production was halted after a contract dispute between Julia-Levy and the film"s executive producer Elisabeth Thieriot.
The case was taken to arbitration at the Independent Film & Television Alliance by Thieriot, and the arbitrator found for Theriot on her claims of breach of contract and fraud in the inducement. Animal rights activism
Julia-Levy founded Flaunt My Pet Limited Liability Company, and advocated between 2006 and 2010 through the website FlauntMyPet.com, a social networking website where individuals could create a profile for their pets, for animal welfare.
He expanded his involvement to include the plight of Lolita, an orca whale that has been living and performing at Seaquarium in Miami, Florida.
Private life
Julia-Levy was withdrawn as a witness when a Sheriff"s Department investigation report showed Julia-Levy had used fake names and Social Security numbers and falsely claimed to have attended Harvard University and University of Southern California.
