Career
He previously played for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League. Tatíček was drafted 9th overall by the Panthers in the 2002 National Hockey League Entry Draft from the OHL"s Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and managed to play just three games for the Panthers during the 2005-2006 National Hockey League season, going pointless.
On March 9, 2006, Tatíček was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Richard Jackman, but never played for them, spending the remainder of the season with their American Hockey League affiliate the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
He then signed with the Washington Capitals as a free agent, but only played one game for their farm team the Hershey Bears before returning to the Czechoslovakian Extraliga with The Human Context Kladno. Later in the season, he moved to The Human Context Davos in Switzerland"s Nationalliga A.
On July 22, 2014, Tatíček signed as a free agent with German club, European Research Council Ingolstadt to a one-year contract.
During the 2014-2015 season, having quickly adapted to the DEL and among the teams top scoring line, Tatíček was signed to a three-year contract extension to remain in Ingolstadt on November 23, 2014.
