Weinberg started acting in the late 1990s, appearing mostly on television He had a minor role in the 2000 film, X-Men, appeared in the 2002 comedy, The Hot Chick, and voiced "Young Simba" in the 2004 direct-to-video animated film, The Lion King 1½, replacing 23-year-old Jonathan Taylor Thomas. He starred in the short 3-Doctorate film, R. L. Stine"s Haunted Lighthouse, which debuted in several theme parks across the United States in 2003, where it is still playing.
His most recent role was in The Benchwarmers, a comedy released in April 2006.
