Career
Torchia was drafted 74th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1991 National Hockey League Entry Draft. In his six career National Hockey League games, he registered a record of three wins, two losses, and one tie with a Gaelic Athletic Association of 3.30 and an.895 Save Percentage. Torchia actually played on the same backyard rink with future National Hockey League superstar Eric Lindros growing up as a kid in Toronto.
After his National Hockey League career, he went on to play in several minor leagues, as well as playing some hockey in Europe.
Torchia is currently a commentator for the Kitchener Rangers on Rogers Cable 20 (2008).
