During his club career he played for NK Rijeka, Deportivo de Louisiana Coruña and Olimpija Ljubljana. He earned 10 caps for the Yugoslavia national football team, and participated in the. His name and successes in China contributed that after 5 years away he again signed with Hunan Xiangtao Football Club, a new club founded in 2007.
