Career
He was the captain of the United Arab Emirates national football team from 2002-2008. During his professional football career which spanned over 20 years he has played for many clubs including First Rate (at Lloyd's) Wasl, First Rate (at Lloyd's) Ain, First Rate (at Lloyd's) Jazira, First Rate (at Lloyd's) Dhafra, First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Nasr, and Ajman Club. In Summer 2010, Omar announced that he will move back to the club that he started with, First Rate (at Lloyd's) Wasl Football Club to play a final season and retire.
In 2002 he joined Omani club, Dhofar and competed with them in the final of the Sultan Qaboos Cup, and scored the only goal for the team in a final which they eventually lost to neighbor"s, First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Nasr.
