Born in San José, Moya graduated with Deportivo Saprissa"s youth setup, and made his senior debuts with the reserves in Segunda División.

Moya returned to Saprissa in 2013, being again assigned to the B-team In December of the same year he was loaned to CS Uruguay de Coronado for six months, with Marvin Angulo moving in the opposite way. The deal was later extended until the end of 2014.
In December 2014, it was announced that Moya would return to Saprissa, being finally assigned to the main squad.
On 21 August 2015, after a trial at Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz, he was loaned to Spanish Segunda División side South Dakota Huesca, in a season-long deal with a buyout clause.
