She began his directing career with the film in 2005 and some short films and documentaries, most of them are about the Iran–Iraq War.
She has received two awards from Fajr International Film Festival for Trench 143 and she has also received several national awards. Her movie won Audience Award for Best Film at annual Reel Sydney Festival of World Cinema. Trench 143 premiered at Iran’s 2014 Fajr International Film Festival and garnered rave reviews by critics and audience. Her film invited to Los Angeles film festival,too. Abyar has received some prizes for her books and documentaries.
