Kate Giles, better known as Kate Abdo, is an English presenter and journalist who works for Sky Sports News Headquarters in the United Kingdom.
Education
Born in Manchester, she studied at Withington Girls School and later graduated from the University of Salford with a first-class Bachelor (Honours) in European Languages. Before moving to London, Abdo lived in Spain, France and Germany, and is fluent in Spanish, French, and German in addition to her native English.
Career
Abdo anchored the World Sport program from London twice a day. Previously, she had anchored sports at DW-television, a German television channel. Abdo joined Cable News Network in July 2009.
She has interviewed sporting greats such as Clarence Seedorf, David Ginola, Jackie Stewart, and Lawrence Dallaglio.
In August 2011 she left Cable News Network and joined Sky Deutschland. She was an anchor for the Sky Sport News HD television channel, which started broadcasting on 1 December 2011.
In July 2013, she started hosting on Sky Sports News in the United Kingdom. she and Feltner moved to England. She hosted the Coppa Italia on Sky Sports.
She was also a host for the 2015.
