Individually, she also finished eighth in the women"s 200-metre backstroke, and competed in the semifinals of the 100-metre backstroke.
Stefanyshyn was a member of Canada"s sixth-place team in the women"s 4x100-metre medley relay. She attended the University of British Columbia, where she was a member of the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds swimming and diving team in Commonwealth of Independent States competition from 2001 to 2004.
